Toile de Jouy

Toile is a fabric, from the French word meaning "linen cloth" or "canvas", particularly cloth or canvas for painting on. The word "toile" can refer to the fabric itself or a type of repeated surface decoration. 

A Toile egyfajta textil, mely a francia "vászonruha" szóból származik, nevezetesen egy festhető ruha anyag. A "toile" szó vonatkozhat magára a textilre vagy erre a bizonyos fajta ismétlődő mintázatra.
