I found this videoclip of Justin Timberlake very impressive and I love the song too!! But for now let's just talk about the rug front of the fireplace! Hahaha! Have you ever paid attention to that? I love it! What is actually your impression of this room?
I fancy the rich dark floor and the wallpaper, so neutral and looks like fabric! Definitely would go for it!
Did you notice the plenty of frames on the
mantelpiece? - gives you the feel of long devotion, family, love and
that hearthwarming "we belong together-ness". (Does that make sense at
all? :)
All this complemented with
that elegant brass framed mirror! Brilliant to express the feel of "age".
However normally I wouldn't recommend to place mirrors in a room this kind of way, (especially not in a bedroom) but obviously, in a video, titled Mirrors, you would be silly not to place mirrors everywhere possible!! :) (I bet cameramen had a tough job there!)
Even mirrored furniture! What? Look at this!
Do you notice the design is different in this room? And the mirrored cabinet on the left? How cool idea was that! :)
Ok I am not a big fan of any "dead animals" in a room, such as zebra rugs, so I'm not gonna say I like it, but if you do, go for it! :)
Compare to the "oldies room" there are slightly different accessories at the back, less frames more books haha!
I think it was very clever idea not to apply vivid colours in the room, that would drive us totally distracted. This story requires soft, neutral colours.
The only thing I don't see, why are there those 3 artworks on the wall at the back? They just don't work for me in either room. I think the reason is the arrangement. That looks a bit odd for me. What do you think? Can you imagine that wall without them? Or placed in different way?
The table lamps are also different in the two rooms. Which one would you rather go for?
There is one thing hadn't been changed in the two rooms - the king of the room - lets's call it sideboard. Love the idea of two tones in one piece of furniture! How do you feel about the pattern? I think this is a typical piece, which could work in absolutely different interior styles, very versatile! (I might gonna put some mood boards together to show you what I exactly mean! :)) ...if I get a chance...and time! :)
