"Room" of the day

Love! Love! Love! Look at this amazing kitchen!!

I love the contrast of white and espresso brown! So clean, elegant and calm! The rich dark colour adds warmth to the whole space! I am crazy about upholstered chairs, especially the ones with dark painted legs and white/cream fabrics - this is my week point! :) Do you fancy them? And what do you think about the light fixture? Isn't it cool?

I know not everyone can afford such a huge kitchen, but you can get similar look in a small space as well! Beautiful!
Leave a comment and let me know, what do you think! :)

With love,
Gabriella xx

Colour psychology - green

In our life it is really important to consider which colours appear in our surroundings, including our home, workplace, hospitals, schools and even the stores where we do our shopping.
Colour psychology is a science, which is concerned with the effects of colour on mood, emotion, behaviour. Colour psychology validates the theories that individual colours are responsible for specific areas of our bodies. Consequently colour can consumedly affect the quality of our life.
Using colour has a specifically great importance in case of a hyperactive child or adult. Colour is actually a sensation that our brain registers, and each colour causes different reactions in our brain.

The colour green is the colour of balance, harmony and growth. It is able to create balance between the heart and the emotions. Green colour has many positive characteristics, as it is very healing and soothing, which also can be used to create a relaxing area in any part of the home. It is an emotionally positive colour with an ability to restore us back to a sense of well-being what is more it revitalizes us when we are physically, mentally or emotionally exhausted.

The intention of using green for a hyperactive child would be to achieve a relaxing zone which revitalizes the senses and emotions of the child as mentioned earlier. Subsequently in this instance, strong, bright shades may not be the most successful choices. Nevertheless soft, light shades are absolutely applicable and appropriate for a hyperactive child’s bedroom. In my point of view a combination of natural green shades and neutrals can create and absolutely soothing and restful area which gives us the sense of peace. I think that is exactly what a hyperactive person needs.
